Experience a vibrant music gallery show like no other, celebrating iconic Blue Note vinyl records spanning over 8 decades. Significant records with legendary designs will be on display, joined with a group art show featuring local Phoenix artists and curated listening stations for music lovers to enjoy.

Exhibition Features: 

Blue Note Vinyl Record Cover Art Display + Local Art Exhibit

Blue Note Records was ahead of its time with their unequivocal examples of record-making, packaging, eye-catching cover designs and obligatory sleevenotes. Key albums will be on display to tell the story of their cover art and the significant jazz recordings.

Plus, local artists will exhibit one-of-a-kind pieces emulating the spirit and celebration of jazz music. See new works from:

Blue Note Record Listening Stations + Live DJ

Enjoy the smooth sounds of Blue Note vinyl records with curated listening stations featuring vinyl collections from Stinkweeds, Record High in Phoenix, and Fivethirteen Recording Studios. Plus, DJ Mitch Freedom will provide a diverse array of current and classic Blue Note tracks to set the vibe.

Music Education w/ Young Sounds of Arizona

The future of jazz music is possible thanks to jazz musicians who invest in the future education of our youth. Young Sounds of Arizona, the first and oldest program of its kind in the country, will be present to provide information about their youth programs and how you can support. Young Sounds is comprised of music students ranging from 12 to 18 years old who receive mentorship from professional musicians, performing in a variety of clinics and concerts around the Valley. 

About Evolve Gallery

The SLEEVENOTES exhibition will debut at "Evolve Gallery," the newest art gallery to arrive in the Roosevelt Row Arts District. "Evolve Gallery" is located within Roosevelt Row CDC's brand-new community welcome center, joined by Ben's Bells Project (Phoenix), a nonprofit focused on fostering kindness in Phoenix.
